The Jardin de Cactus is located in an old quarry from which there were extracted the volcanic ash and debris used by ancient farmers of prickly pears to conserve moisture night soil. The artist César Manrique was able to see in this scenario the opportunity to convert a residual space in a curious area divided into terraces where they grow over 1400 species of cactus perfectly classified.
